Merry chri... Happy New Ye.. ah crap

So, yeah, I haven't been all that active around here since around Christmas time. Sorry about that ^_^ How's everyone's new year been going so far?
I meant to have some christmas/new year art done, but I didn't manage to finish them on time. I really should start them earlier this year ^^;

It's been a real productive time for me recently; I've done a lot of artwork (though not all stuff I can put up here, as most of it is totally college stuff), done my first law exam, which was a little nerve-racking but I think it went pretty well, and I've been writing (yes, actually writing!) tons of stuff for my book! I haven't had this much fun working, well, ever n_n'
I've also taken up my martial arts lessons again, and those are going really well. I've made a resolution to actually get fit this year, so that should help ;D
I seriously cannot wait to just get A2's over with go on to uni, it's gonna be so awesome! xD I'm looking to take up a Games Concept Design course, looks brilliant! :D

I haven't really had time for much else, though I did find time to read the Twilight saga (made sure I'd read the first one before I saw the movie) which I think is fantastic. I don't get all the random criticisms it's been getting. Yeah, it's kinda gooey/sappy romance, but come on! It's a dark-romance story! It has vampires with cool powers! And huge werewolves! Srsly!! xD Perhaps there wasn't quite enough action, but the characters are great.

Well, I've got some work to get done. Later everyone.

I'm trying to decide between that course and one other, over at UCA Farnham, really not sure which to take lol x_x
You mind giving me a brief lowdown of what what you've been doing on the course? That'd be cool. I know basically what's involved but it'd be good to get a students perspective.

Hey hey, sounds good! NUCA is alot of fun, the tutors are all really nice and the I feel like I've learnt alot but it does start at quite low level stuff (perfect for me haha) which I think is fair enough as it is only my first year. But on the other hand there's lots on offer at the uni. Life drawing, FDMX talks about the industry which are all free. We've been doing alot of work in groups to get us used to really working in a team, mostly at the start of term. Then we had to design our own iPod Touch game and concept, design it etc. Not actually made it but next year we're meant to be making our own properly. And atm we're doing about Flash and making a flash animation concentrating on the human walk cycle. While doing all this aswell we've got more academic stuff where we look at the games industry and the theories that go with it while also having Photoshop lessons which I really need and think have benefitted from loads. The tutors are really happy to help. Oh and next term we're doing 3D modelling on Maya :]

Phew.
It's fun! I love it.
